![]() ![]() This is one of a number of interesting images I was loaned recently from the Department of Civil Aviation archives. From what I can gather it was taken in the 1950s at Essendon Airport in Melbourne, along with a number of other CMPs some in very original configurations.

This is the old DCA logo as seen on those vehicles . Who would have guessed they used a 1/2 Ton Command car ! Essendon airport looks rather different now .
