Guys, i have been digging around in old boxes today and turned up these straps. As you can see 2 are 17 1/2 inches long and 1 is 12 inches long.
The long ones have the number TL 926SA EB Ltd 1944 pressed into them, i can see no number on the short one. there is a metal tab held on with 2 rivets and a hole for a bolt. I think these are the straps that hold the 3 inch motar on the rear of a carrier. But there must be someone who knows better ?

Hi Shaun
British parts book lists TL926SA as, housing aerial rod case. Only listed under 3" mortar and each vehicle has 2. Not listed in my early British parts book but was in your later version (which I'm ready to return, thanks for the loan) Any thoughts on Sunday? Cheers Ben |
