Default Surprising

I can't believe there are so many countries (shown in red) who drive on the wrong side of the road*

*According to the way CMPs are set up.

Default Wrong side driving

Yes, they always confuse 'right' side of road with 'right' way to be driving!

Driving on right hand side of road was moderately unsettling in Hawaii. Still.......no one died

Tony, just think proportionately, how many of us right side drivers take to the road in those blue coloured countries...

Notice that the Japanese drive on the left the same as we do here in Oz. A lot of people are unaware of this and I heard a story years ago that Land Rover shipped a hundred LHD vehicles to the Japanese and then had to send a hundred RHD conversion kits because they stuffed up. The Japs didn't specify and the Brits thought they knew.

Don't the Japanese drive all over the road? Sides should not matter!
As far as the US dollar go, it's great for us right now if we need to source parts etc from the USA. Last time I looked, the CDN dollar was ahead of the US slightly.

Default Hey your on the wrong side of the truck.

Hi All

Hey your on the wrong side of the truck, is a very common remark hollered from the side of parade routes as I drive by in any of my CMPs. Standard reply with a straight face is "no I'm on the right side"

Of course in normal driving this is not such a noticeable issue as so many drivers seem to drive in the middle of the road anyway.

Cheers Phil

PS I like to see a map with red for right hand sided, blue for left hand side and green for down the middle.

A 3rd color should be added as there is a country in which both sides of the road are used...

According to a recent news release, starting on 1 January 2015, all cars in Australia will drive on the right side of the road...., if this works, in 2016 they will have the trucks and buses do it also.

Hi Guys

Hey Rick, maybe Clive is right. With the amount of head on prangs we are having I think some have jumped the gun on 2015 and are already practicing driving on the right side of the road, hang on, most of those bingles were caused by overseas visitors who drive on the left.

Cheers

Tony
