Default F15A identification help

Hi guys, I bought a Ford 15cwt 4X4 and am wondering if anyone can tell me the year and any other info regarding this truck.I found the number 1C19286 on the bell housing. There also looks to be a small star after the number.I was told it is a 1941.The front diff. housing has a round cover on the front and the differential itself comes out the other side. Sometimes called a "banjo" style.I need the crown and pinion gears for the front diff. , if anyone can help or give suggestions that would be greatly appreciated!

Default Gday Dave

Pictures old boy pictures...

Sounds very interesting... banjo diffs are Chevy and to my knowledge used on very early orders of Fords. Cab 11's I believe.

If yours is a '41 it is probably a Cab 12.

Looking forward to having a look

The serial number should be on the vertical part of the frame rail under the cab on the passenger side. Ford stamped it there on the Cab 11 and Cab 12 trucks.
I have a 1940 F15A with the Chev banjo rear ends.

Default 1940

The banjo axles and engine prefix point to a 1940 cab 11 I reckon.

I'll see what I can do about pics. I should mention that the truck is in a million pieces. The former owner was restoring it and never got it finished.I will take pics of the things I feel will help with info gathering. Thanks so much for all the help so far.
