Default Universal Carrier Mk1 with Boys AT rifle

I have seen documentary video of the battle for Dunkirk with a short clip of a carrier with a long barrel poking out of the MG port. I recently believe this was the Mk1 with Boys Anti Tank Rifle. Could it have been anything else?

How many of these were built, who used them and did any survive?

They are Boys rifles but those are scout carriers not MK1's.

Scouts and Brens were commonly used together as part of the BEF they had a few early MK1's.

It seems common in the BEF for each carrier to have a Boys and a Bren but I have a official pamphlet from a little later in 1940 that says one Boys rifle to every three carriers, each carrier having a Bren.

I think the Vickers MG was more common on the LP carriers. I don't remember seeing it being used much in Europe but the LP carriers certainly have mounts to suit the stowage and use of a Vickers guns and tripods.

Someone with better knowledge of the LP carriers would be better placed to answer that.

Standard issue with carriers from Bren through to post war seems to be a combination of Boys, Bren and SMLE. All these had stowage designed specifically for the carrier.
