Svenn, when we received our truck there was just enough material left in the mud flaps to get dimensions. The fronts are 12 1/4" wide 312mm by 7 1/2" deep 191mm. Rears flaps are 19 3/4" wide 501.65 mm by 12 1/2" deep 317.5 mm Please find photos enclosed and I hope the conversions make sense.
Sorry, I just realized the front one is upside down but you'll get the idea. Rob ![]() ![]() |

Thanks Rob!
Those are great pictures! Are there any metal insert for weight in those? I have seen on some other threads that some had that. Svenn |

Svenn, no there were no metal inserts in our original flaps. But I should mention that they are made with four layers of heavy canvas material. When sewn together they turn out to be very stiff with all the cross stitching and double stitching around the edges.

Hi Svenn
Like so many parts on CMPs it is often difficult to know what was the orginal design because there seem to be different designs for the same parts. Some of this can be explained by changes during the course of production 42-45 for the Pattern 13s. But also with small parts such as battery boxes, mud flaps they just seem to be made different probably by different small shops which where given a sample told to make it with what ever materials tools they had. Why do I say this well on the Mud Flaps, my C60S 1942 had rubber mud flaps on the front fenders, my HUP 1945 had canvas, front and rear but they have sheet metal inserts sewn into them. Now the HUP has slightly narrow fenders than other CMPs so it would have needed its own mud flaps which could explain the difference. Cheers Phil

Phil is probably dead on to something here. There are probably severeal styles that is correct due to different manufacuturers and time periods.
I have made up these drawings for the production of mine. Any thoughts or corrections apriciated. Svenn |

Hi Svenn,
Small thought, and I know it's not strightly original, it might be worth fitting stainless steel bars into the mudflaps, rather than mild steel, as it won't rust/stain your new mudflaps. Works on my 42 C30 LAAT front mudflaps Regards Keith |
