A few months ago, I bought a FORD of CANADA. (Papers, it is from a F60L models).

I would like more info on it. It seems to me a chassis course strangely...


I spoke with his former landlord, it as explained to me, he was small in 1944, his father to find the truck, near the road to the city. And ACE redeem to the damage of the war, he then wear a coachbuilder to repaint, and it got me say that it was original, as far as he can remember... I cannot unfortunately find models like this.

Beau camion mais il me parrait trop cour. Mesure l'empattement le F60L devrait faire 154 pouces .... le F60S est plus cour a 130 pouces.

Verifie la carrosserie pour voir si il n'a pas ete coupe et resouder.

C'est une belle machine a restorer et il y a beaucoup the collectioneur et vendeur de pieces en Hollande et en Angleterre.

Il semble qu'il a ete rebattit durant sa longue vie. La plaque original de son identite se retrouve normalement sur le dessus du tableau de bord.... la parti plat entre les indicateur et le pare-brise...... tu trouveras peut etre les trous de vice original. La derniere photo semble etre une reproduction necessaire a l'immatriculation du vehicle apres avoir ete modifie.

Bonjour

Nous sommes voisins de peut être moins de 300 kilomètres. Certes l'empattement est trop court pour être un F60L sauf si le chassis a été coupé puis ressoudé pour améliorer le levage avec la chèvre mais j'ai remarqué qu'à l'arrière du chassis il y avait des renforts de forme triangulaire comme sur le F60L que je possède.
Tu devrais poster une photo de cette partie en montant sur le chassis

I measured the "Wheelbase", it's 3.20 metres (+ - 125 inches)

I find most other plates for truck, just small referred.

I just all just made photos, Plus that of the door, or one now sees the star allies.

Hello Warren,

Welcome to MLU. This is certainly the place to find out answers to all your questions.

That is a good looking truck. It looks like it has been shortened with a piece of chassis cut out below the blue winch. That means that it won't be too difficult to add a bit back in. The other alternative is to obtain another F60L chassis. There are a few out there beyond economical repair with a good chassis but nothing else worth saving. Ask around.

The pic of the rear of frame show two metallic parts on each side with a triangular shape and an additional crossbar.

It is the same on my F60L builded in 1945. To be more accurate I think that your truck should have a step ladder identical to the pic I post.

La photo sur le site dont l'adresse est au dessus montre deux triangles de renfort à l'arrière du châssis ainsi qu'une traverse supplémentaire. Tout ceci est identique à mon F60L faisant partie des dernières séries de F60L.

Postez sur le site une photo du marche pied gauche qui devrait être différent de celui du conducteur.

The step you pictured is seen on a lot of late production Ford CMPs here too.

Yes, Warren's truck has the remains of a late type passenger step. This type is found on many 1945 production Fords in Australia also. I'm not sure why it was changed from the original type, which is necessary on the driver's side to support the battery.

Oui, le camion de Warren se trouvent les restes d'une étape de passagers de type retard. Ce type se trouve sur de nombreux 1945 production Ford en Australie aussi. Je ne sais pas pourquoi il a été changé à partir du type d'original, ce qui est nécessaire du côté du conducteur pour soutenir la batterie.

La partie arrière de votre boîtier a été coupée. Photos ci-dessous montrent châssis F60L originaux, avec la position de coupe indiqué. Composants à l'arrière sur le châssis ont été déplacés vers l'avant. Notez que tous les composants ont été initialement rivetées ensemble. Absence de rivets indique composants délocalisés. Notez également que les composants «A» sur votre châssis sont absents sur le châssis 1942 illustré. Ces plaques supplémentaires sont une caractéristique de la production à la fin.

Avant de commencer à travailler sur ce châssis vous devriez faire de la publicité dans ce forum pour un châssis Ford en bon état. Il peut y avoir un de rechange assez proche de vous. Il serait vous faire économiser beaucoup de travail et que votre véhicule pourrait avoir le bon empattement. Il n'a pas à être F60L. Il pourrait être F60S (134 pouces) ou F15A (101 pouces). Je pourrais vous en envoyer un moi-même, mais le coût d'expédition peut être assez élevé!

The rear section of your chassis has been cut off. Photos below show original F60L chassis, with position of cut indicated. Rear components on your chassis have been relocated forward. Note that all components were originally riveted together. Absence of rivets indicates relocated components. Note also that components "A" on your chassis are absent on the 1942 chassis pictured. These additional plates are a late production feature.

Before commencing work on this chassis you should advertise in this forum for an undamaged Ford chassis. There may be a spare one quite close to you. It would save you a lot of work and your vehicle would have the correct wheelbase. It doesn't have to be F60L. It could be F60S (134 inches) or F15A (101 inches). I could send you one myself but the shipping cost may be rather high!
