Default New M109 Monument CFB Kingston

This one just turned up a short while ago.

It isn't easily seen as it is behind the Sports Centre and beside the end of HMCS Cataraqui.

When I left the military 10 short years ago I was in charge of a small section of mechanics/weapon tech/FCS tech looking after A bty 1RCHA. These were our prime weapon. I guess both myself and the guns are now out to pasture.

I think that might actually be from Douglas MacArthur's speech. Either way, it's true.

That is a very nicely detailed M109. Sadly, I cannot help wondering just how long it will stay that way. Sooner or later vandalism seems to rear it's ugly head when vehicles like this are openly displayed, or the people in charge of it suddenly get a serious case of 'Liability Fever' and decide to strip the vehicle of anything somebody might get hurt with, fall on, etc. etc. etc. to avoid any personal injury law suits. Hope you took lots of detail pictures, Robin.

David
