could anyone please tell me where i might br able to buy a oil pump for a 1939 ford flathead v8 #18-6618 has 18 above and EP below also 4 on shaft housing. THANKS MIKE HARRISON

Your part number does not seem to be correct. It is more like a casting number. The oil pump should be a in group 6600. If you are getting that number off the little plate on the bottom of the oil pump, then more likely the number is 18-6616.
If you go to MAC auto, you should have no problem finding an oil pump for a 39 Ford. 47-19651-1 or 47-19652-1 are the more current part numbers for the earlier pumps, with the latter number being a high output pump. http://www.macsautoparts.com/early_v...t-60-hp-1.html http://www.macsautoparts.com/early_v...t-60-hp-1.html |
