I just purchased my first restoration project. A 1946 Willys CJ-2A for $300.00. Motor and drive train all in working order, just the rest is a tad rough..understatement. Once a Canadian service truck, I can just see the shadow of the serial on the hood.
I want to strip it down and rebuild her but o'gods where do you begin. I understand the "cab" is a after market item that was offered for jeeps and I'm not sure when it was added. Lots of tin missing and some cracks in the frame. I think I'm just going to photo document it and then start stripping her down. Hope that's the right path. ![]() ![]() |

If it's running and driving at least have a little fun with it for awhile before you start stripping it down.

One word of advice...... take a lot of pictures then a few more. Tag and bag small item with Zip lock bags...... do not write on the bag as greasy fingers will eventually erase the info.
Don't forget to post pictures of your progress. Have fun Cheers
