That's an interesting ghost image effect you have there. As for the long cylindrical object with the vanes, my guess would be some sort of antenna?

Default Sorry, the pic off of KIJIJI...

is the best I can do, advertised on Nova Scotia/collectables with some artillery shells, it being brass and kinda odd, I was looking for some ideas. Cheers Rob
