Default Bronze wheel bushings ?

hey folks, pulled some of these out of a late war wheel (LEWS. 1944) TL94

I don't have my parts book to hand, but wondered what the craic was with them ? The ID is 55mm ? Rather than the stock 40mm the OD is the usual 110mm

They are a two piece system and both bushings are held in place with a spring clip.

Part number TL14013 G 28CP

The ID has thrown me somewhat

There is a hardened steel sleeve which makes up the difference, the idea being that the sleeve is clamped when the axle shaft is torqued up and the Brass bush runs on its OD. I had loads, but they all went for scrap.
