I've started to gather the bits and pieces needed to wire up my carrier, but I'm stuck on what Voltage regulator to use. I'm going with a 12v system, and have a 12v generator (was done by Army when engine was in a CMP).
I have seen people using the Lucas RB430 style (I think) 12v Regulators, but they don't look like the original Ford ones. I've found a 12v version of the original Ford 6v regulator available at Macs. http://www.macsautoparts.com/early_v...ll-ford-1.html Has anyone used one of these in a Carrier or Truck? What would be the reason to go for a Lucas regulator over one of these? (I know bugger all about automotive wiring) Cheers
