There's two types. One like the one in Jordan's pic used in wireless tucks (I have a pair for my HUW project), and a similar one only welded with an angle on the back for AFV's. I think I have a spare pair of the latter that might help Peter more than Jordan.

Neat. I wasn't aware of a style with an extra piece welded to the back. I've actually got a third version then. The backing is a dense fibre and the mic hanger is Bakelite.

Here is the other style I have along with the all metal one. There is quite a difference in size between the two.
