For Sale: 1938 Bofors L40/60

1938 BOFORS L40/60 early war as used by the BEF at Dunkirk and would have been towed behind the Morris CDSW,F60 LAAT,SWB Jimmy etc. This type of Bofors were very complex and beautifuly made and a joy to tow,this particular Gun has undergone a ground up restoration with new tyres and comes with some very rare accessories and is ready to display. The Gun is fully deactivated and legal to transfer,no licence required. It also starred in the movie 'Atonement'. £13,500

Any idea of the size wheel / tire is mounted on that early Bofor gun.....?

I was given a somewhat similar rim with a 6x39 narrow tire mounted on it..... 5 stud mounting.....20 inch rim.

Would like to see it going to someone who can use it properly......

Bob ,

The rim is 6.00/20 ,5 stud. There were a couple of variations with slightly different shape holes around the centre ,I think they are a European design and manufacture as the same type of wheel was also fitted to German vehicles as well.
