I'm on the lookout for the type of mortar baseplate that is proper for the Bren carrier.
The one I have is rectangular, with the spikes on the narrow end, and flat on top, with a small piece of chain, likely to facilitate pulling it from the ground. When I knocked up the bracket on the carrier I had the loan of the different type of baseplate, closer to square, and with a ridge around the top. Any leads/ info?

Charlie,
There is a WWII british army airborne base plate up for grabs right now. I am not sure what 550 pounds is in Canadian dollars, plus shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-britis...-/350894225419 ![]() |

Does this thread help:
http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/sh...Mortar+carrier Are your monopod brackets original?, isn’t the rectangular non airborne base plate correct for a Bren carrier ?
