Greetings, all:
I appeal for anyone's assistance in helping me with the following, related to the subject line. My C15A is late production (1944), has a round hatch, and I'm trying to figure out how the canvas round hatch is properly mounted onto the hip ring. I've gotten a description for this mounting from Bruce Parker...whilst descriptive, it doesn't fully make sense to me, yet. I've searched Keith Webb's site and Rod Diery's site but with no applicable results (the content of their great sites notwithstanding). I have the round hatch canvas cover with attachments and the co-driver's position, to the rear in the cab, has the metal perforated frame which I suspect accepts a clevis pin and some sort of straps, securing(?). There are no perforations in the roof behind the hip ring. Feedback, ideas, drawings, references...anything?
