Oh my.

This is a first-class piece of kit unequalled anywhere, made all the more delightful because while it should be in a museum, it actually runs better than the day it came out of the factory. I've had the privilege of riding in it several times -- magnificent.

Well,

Why didn't I think of that!

It would have been great, but unfortunately my girlfriend and I have some other things in and around the house to spend money on.....

Default Price Range

Richard:

I will mention this to the Canadian War Museum vehicle curator. I don't know what they have in their budget these days but this is a rare opportunity to acquire a very special CMP. The first question they will ask is price range. Please PM me with at least a "ball park" figure.

Mike, Richard isn't with us anymore, and I don't know whether he still monitors this channel. Perhaps someone who is still in touch with him can get the information, but failing that, why don't you call Dave Ballard directly? I can personally vouch for the vehicle - it is like new. It won't be cheap but it will be worth it....

Mike,

Richard no longer is a member of this forum nor does he monitor it. I will send you the details you requested and put you in direct contact with the Ballard family.

Do note this is a British conversion of a Canadian-built truck, which was used by a few British units only.

Regards,
Hanno

That truck belongs to Dave Ballard in Shirrell Heath (near Southampton). In the King's Stone drivepast in 2004 I was privileged to give the salute from the roof hatch. The truck is every bit as good as the description, and one of the finest running Fords I've ever been in.
