moved my carrier from the protective car port to the barn today , like only 10 feet away, noticed something i never seen before, on the middle bogi's 3rd from the front , i noticed the rubber alittle less on both left and right sides, like a 1/2 inch or so, the prevous owner had all the bogis re-rubberd 2 years ago, and only saw very little running. the 2 bogis dosent look worn, but looked like they were made like this , is thier a reason why? also moved the carrier forward a bit, everytime the carried front raised a bit when the gas pedal was depressed , does this happen alot? or should it be smooth, thanks lads

Hi Mike
No idea about the rubber on the wheels. However the carrier front will rase up a bit when it first starts to move. This is because the track is being pulled by the sprockets. With the weight of the carrier sitting on the track the rear end goes down a few inches. Once you start to move the initial resistance is overcome and the carrier levels out. The suspension is really "soft" as I can lift the back end of my carrier about 3inches just by myself.

I thought so Jordan, about the springs , Now i don't have to replace the springs , I thought the suspenion was worn out too, so if you carrier does the same as mine, its ok then., just puzzled me on the rubber bogi wheels i'll get pics out soon to help describe it better, any chance of getting those demisions on the wirerless batt box for me? thanks mate

Mike the two front wheels on your carrier should have thinner rubber than the rest. (The ones that you move to adjust the track ) It sounds like yours have been assembled in the wrong place.

Years ago some vets in Hamilton restored a carrier and sent the wheels out to get new rubber. They sent them to a guy who does tow motor wheels. Back they came looking perfect. They put them on, went in on a Saturday for the big day, laid the tracks down, and a deuce pulled the carrier on. Ooops....the rubber was straight sided like tow motor wheels, not bevelled. Off they came.
