Anybody know these Ontario reenactors?
This pic was taken at C.F.B. Borden on Armed Forces Day in '97 or '98 if memory serves me right. Thay were part of a larger group of reenactors there that day. Had a long conversation with the gentleman in the middle who told me they were associated with a museum in Ontario. Anybody know these people. Perhaps I have met some M.L.U.ers without knowing it.

Service Rifle Shooting Association was the original group. SRSA.
The Museum of Applied Military History is the sort of umbrella group that everyone re enacts under. Gavin Watt is the guy in the center you were probably talking to. He is one of the most knowledgable military historians you will ever hope to meet. He likely would have been portraying a member of the Perth Regiment on that day. There are members from all over portraying soldiers from any conflict Canada participated in. Cheers, Barry |

Thats the group! Now I remember. Yes, Mr. Watt was very knowledgeable and very forthcoming. They were very patient with me that day as it was quite warm and I took several pictures. Thanks for the info Barry! CHIMO! |

MAMH
Hi Barry:
Minor amendment to your post. MAMH, a fine organisation, is one of the largest re-enactment societies in Canada, but not the only one. Cheers, Mike

Sorry, I meant the members of that particular group were part of the museum as are the shooters in SRSA. I didn't intend to minimize or slight any of the other
excellent reenactors or their groups. Cheers Barry |
