The truck towing the 1 ton trailer i would say is a Karrier K6 3ton, take a close look at the front mudguards. Looks like it has been modified for living accomadation

The CMPs in your picture entitled Uedem belong to the Highland Light Infantry of Canada (9th Inf Bde/3rd Cdn Inf Div) and those in your picture entitled Keppeln belong to the North Nova Scotia Highlanders (9th Inf Bde/3rd Cdn Inf Div). These were taken during the Battle of the Rhineland (Operation BLOCKBUSTER 22 Feb - 10 Mar 45).

notice the trees on the left with the paper or tin strapped to the bottom trunk. Could they be for driving at night, a sort of reflector, or for some other purpose ? Opinions.

I can't find it right now but there's a huge article with original documentation on the net somewhere by my friend and almost neighbour Clive Elliott, it concerns the WWII use of our IR night vision system "Tabby". IIRC some experiments were done with various material for route marking allowing safe and speedy driving using the Tabby equipment without any visible light source.

Cool, first I have ever heard of the allies having IR gear in WWII that wasn't captured German stuff. Please tell us more when you trip over it.
With the slit night driving lights I would think that something of lighter colour on markers or trees , such as these pieces , would greatly enhance night driving using just visible light and still be pretty innocuous from the air. As in a nighttime snow storm when visibility is 50 gophers long and you use the road edge plowed snow to navigate at higher than smart speeds.

I like the last pic with the International Harvester halftrack.
I wasn't sure at first but if you look carefully over the shoulder of the first soldier carrying the bag, you can see that the front fender is an IHC one. It does not have the filler section as does a White.
