Hi, can anyone tell me what the modern equivilant of these lubricants are?
Polsten Lubrication chart USE DEPT NATL DEFENCE CANADA BRITISH WD OVERSEAS Wheel bearings: 672 = GREASE No.2 Jacks: D.T.D 143C = GREASE No.0 Brakes: 510 = Hydraulic Brake Fluid No.3 Hydraulic fluid system: 345 = 10 H.D. Motor Transmition: 365 = 30 H.D. Thanks. Tyler.

I have double checked the Canadian spec. numbers with an old copy of the British military oil book and here goes; Jacks and wheel bearings - now equivalent to British milt. grease XG279, just a standard chassis grease, same as Shell Retinax A Brakes - Hyd Brake Fluid No3 is now OX-8 which is equivalent to DOT4 Hyd. You may find it very difficult to get SAE10 oil for the hydraulics.
I use 32 hydraulic oil as recommended by my local oil producer. |
