Just had an email from a chap named Howard Pettigrew in N.Z.:
"I live in Rangiora in the South Island of New Zealand and stumbled across your great CMP site while having a wander around the Internet (as you do). I am an old truck nut and enjoy all old stuff including war time stuff. I found the page on Ian Styles' Guy and wonder if you could help me. A contact in a town about 90 mins south of me has the chassis of what we think is a late 30s ex Army Guy 3 ton 6x4 GS truck. There were a number of these imported into New Zealand as mobile searchlights and his family actually operated two of these at a nearby quarry (although they found them rather underpowered and slow). Most were quickly pensioned off and made into farm trailers. We have found some numbers on the rear axles and we are trying to find a Guy expert who may be able to confirm our suspicions through these numbers. Would Ian be able to help us? Do you have any contact details for Ian? Is there anyone else you know of who may be able to help us?"
