Default Gruber Bros in Europe

Good day everybody

As probably some of you already know, the junior members of the migthy formidable Yass Gang are going to travel around Europe for 3 weeks (late June, early July). They should leave Aussie soon.

Mark & Ben will start their first journey outside Down Under in Spain (olla chicas), then see the lovliest country on this planet (Switzerland), look in Germany for their ancestors place, and then heading up north to Norway or Sweden.

So, if anybody needs some Blitz parts from Max, just contact Kathy and you'll get free shipping, delivered right to your door by the Grubers ;-)

Greetings
Chris

PS Any first contact with your young daughters will be warm welcomed ;-)

Default Grubers arrived in Switzerland

... just picked Mark & Ben up at Zurich Main station. Brought them to their hotel and showd them around the very wet city. Brrrr, freezing 16 degrees, and they walked around in shorts. Crazy Aussie Boys ;-)

... after having their real first choc milk (Ovomaltine) we had dinner in a Pizzeria, where they ate a real pizza with 2 mm base, not the Pizza Hut stuff with 1 cm or more base.

And they enjoyed the inoffical Swiss Sportsman drink: Rivella

We will have a lunch tomorrow afternoon, before they'll leave Zurich, heading southwest to Luzern. We'll meet there on Thursday, probably visiting Mount Pilatus or do a boattrip in a 100 year old paddle steamer on Lake Lucerne. Will keep you up-to-date.

Greetings
Chris

Thumbs up

You're doing a fine job, Mr. Z, do carry on! Please pass our regards to our young Yasserians (methinks sometimes Yass is slowly taking over the world...)!

Default Pizza

OK Chris how many pizzas did Mark eat, a pizza with a 2mm paper thin crust woudn't go far.
I should have given the boys some money so they could pick me up a duty free command car or a volvo sugga.

G`day, (or is that greuzi?)
Made it to balmy luzerne, and for all those in aussie winter, even with rain it is still not that cold here. Well we can say chris is a brilliant tour guide and we recommend him for all your future swiss trips. And rusty, you wouldn`t believe it but mark didn`t finish his pizza, and for the first time I can ever remember in my life I ate more than him! Methinks it may have been more to do with all the lettuce (or something that resembled lettuce) on the top.

We have seen a fair bit in our whirlwind tour, although obviously you always need more time. After a visit to the technik museum in sinsheim we may have converted our friend who is travelling with us (a tractor collector never the less) that MVs may be the way to go after all, although he has expensive tastes. Chris will have to tell you the name of the tracked motorbike, `cause we can`t remember it.

And rusty, the duty free buying is going well. I think chris thought we were nuts when we wanted to stop and take pictures of somthing like a gogo mobile (again chris will correct us). Although from what we have seen those trendy european cars seem to be the go - we hired a merc in germany. Never thought I would be driving a merc (or one made in the last 20 years anyway!) Well thats all `cause we have Luzerne to see and containers to book!

Ben
and Mark
and Mick (the latest convertee)

... another raining day in Switzerland. We went therefore in the Verkaushaus in Lucerne (museum with trains, locomotives, cars, ships etc.)

The Grubers will take back this fancy European Style BMW ;-)

They're now on their way to Interlaken to possibly see the Jungfraujoch/Eigernordwand.

I will post some more pics next week when I will be back from the Flying Legends Airshow in Duxford UK.

Greetings
Chris

Chris, ensure you make the time to go through Duxford's Land Warfare building... it's the best of its kind in the world, IMHO!

... thanks Jif. Yeah, the Land Warfare Hall is pretty amazing, although a lot of Allied stuff. It's my 4th visit to Duxford, so I know where all the good spots are ;-)

If the intrepid explorers are going to Jungfraujoch etc are we going to get some photo's of them doing a bit of summer skiing?
(Beautifull place especially in the winter-just a pity the swiss don't know how to use snow cannons )
