... belongs to hugh Thompson, as a spare for his immculate original one. The only thing wrong with it is a cracked engine block (easily find another) and the bodywork is made up of a lot of caneite/masonite which does not stand up well to being left outside in the weather for years, but it is relatively easy to resheet it. So, can we tempt you over to buying a blitz, yet?

Ian , that Ford is in NSW somewhere . I cannot recall the exact location as I sneakily peeked through the mag at the newsagents rather than buy it !
Yes Tony is correct , Hughs spare Ambulance would be a rare beast . I know of another one in the Sth Aust. club unrestored . A big job though , one would need some cabinet making skills . I don't know if Hugh still has it . Most Victorians seem to have the Jeep disease , no other MV's exist . Blitz's are considered for the insane only , and anything British from WW2 is deemed to be way out in outer space not to be touched by human hands . I also spotted a rare 1941 ford GP Jeep for sale in Vic. in the same mag . Mike |

Hi Ian (Time to get a CMP)
Just to tempt you further. Here is Ada's & mine ambulance. I may have posted this before but never mind. Its fully restored but has been hard skinned instead of the original timber & canvas. It used to belong to the late Ken Hughes. I just need to repair the engine and then its a goer. Only problem is that I'm doing everyone elses restos and not mine. One day. Bob |

oooowwwww! aaaahhhhh
![]() ![]() ![]() well i`m a bit interested in that workshop body one! i`ll have to go and get me a copy of just cars. you guys have done a good job and converting me i think! here`s a deal for you all (how could you refuse!!!) i`ll buy it and you can all help restore it! no? ooh well... thanks for the info on the ambulance body one, i think thats a bit too much of a task for me at the moment. I`ll get a copy of just cars and see whats for sale. With uni finishing up- just finished my graduation document, i`m getting some more time on my hands, though i still have to finish the jeep in time for back to the track, so that might put a dent in my other MV interests- adn wallet to buy things other than jeep resto parts. I`ll get back to you all and let you know what i find out about the blitz. Cheers, Ian.

There is another in Perth that is nearing completion. This vehicle will be recovered in doped canvas. Does anyone know what purpose the 2 bolts under the sliding side windows served?
