Default Australian Animal names usage.

Wayne Henderson posted a rather cute photo of a visiting Bandicoot on another thread, which got me wondering if the Australian Military ever used local animal names for any of their equipment, either formally, or on individual equipment items. 'Bandicoot' would seem to make an interesting name to put on a Ute.
