The bonnet sides doesn't look GM/Chevrolet.

The cab appears much like like a GMH made unit with quarter windows fitted in the doors and the vent in the cowl ? Back in the late 1970's an old chap used to drive one of these same G506 pole auger rigs around Ferntree Gully , the rego prefix was JJ , it was LHD and a yellow colour.
