Default Post-Corowa update

Have changed the carby due to a build up of scale and oxidation in the bowl - does anyone have a good cure for that?

Also drove it over to have the steering and alignment checked. Interesting to watch them at work with 150-ton jacks manipulating the axle - it bends quite a lot, then rebounds back to be slightly different to it's old shape. Spectacular to watch actually.

Both camber and caster angles were set, then the wheels were aligned. As a final check it was measured to make sure all was square.

Driving it home it was noticeably smoother and handled a lot better, although I'm now having to turn my attention to the steering box which has tight then loose spots indicating a worn sector shaft.

So does anyone out there have a spare, good small steering box for a Ford? I have one from a cab 12 which I can install, but I also need another for the FGT.

So today it did a run of 70-odd km and ran very well.
