I have a threaded mounting block on the inside of the armoured diff cover and I am wondering what it is for.
When I disassembled the vehicle, there was nothing mounted in/on it. See the 2 pics for a better idea. This is an early LP2, Dec 41. It may be for the diff breather hose/pipe. The parts manual does indicate this as a superseded item to be found on early vehicles, there are no drawings. Later LP2 & LP2A do not have this mounting block. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone have reference pic to confirm/show how this is set up and installed? Much appreciated if the info can be added to this thread for everyone.
