I recalled seeing that driver's window mod before, and matched it to a pic of the same CGT on miliblog.co.uk.

Decked out with the RAC sign and crane in the back, it clearly was used as a tow truck just like many CMPs after the war.

Hanno, it would look excellent next to the F15A at your place

Even though the crane jib was fitted to the back, it seems it still retained the sides of the beetle-back.
Did anyone ever try to list the surviving cab 11/12 Gun Tractors?

This is my first post, after wandering the MLU threads for a long time.. So, please show understanding for possible mistakes!

I chose to post some photos of the above Ford F60 LAAT on ebay now, for future reference.

Ford CMP F60 please note that the picture are of when we first got it the last picture is of the chassic which has been shot blasted primed and painted plus new tyres have been fitted the vehicle was stripped down for restoration but time and loss of storage force us to sell, the engine is the ford v8 but it is semi seized will turn 3/4 round the body is as the pictures not touched that, the cab is stripped down and all parts are there new front 1/2 wings have been made plus new window frames also the doors are o/k if you have any questions email me also can deliver at extra cost.

Welcome to this forum! No problem, seems you are doing fine. But please use your first and last name here, as we are among friends on this forum.

Excellent choice, as this F60S seems to wander around a bit, and we would not want to loose track of it. It has passed through the hands of Preston Isaac, Ben Rippingham, Cheryl Bailey and now "cpajma". Here's hoping she finds a good home!

I agree....small wheels, but it's hard to see which body it has...almost looks like a 15cwt box or is it a 8cwt 2A1 box?..that would explain the side mounted fuel tanks.....but is that the shadow of a cab step?? Vey hard to see on such a small picture. Maybe an F15 fitted with smaller wheels?

It must be an F8 - somehow I have a feeling it is this one . . . maybe because it was mis-labelled as an F15 too?

There are a couple of interesting projects on Milweb at the moment. One is a C30 LAAT, complete but in need of restoration (bit expensive I feel, or is it ?), and in the Armoured section, there is a M H armoured car, which requires finishing £10K.

It is an F8 indeed, as one can see from the picture ad on Milweb.
