Here's some pics from today.
A couple of NOS brake shoes, one front, one rear. As I said earlier the rear one needed a hole drilled for the handbrake gear and some grinding to its mid section. All fitted nicely then. It's didn't have Ford stamped on it so it may have been a chev shoe? The front one was a NOS Ford shoe.

Did a bit more today. Rebuilt and fitted the brake master cylinder.
Also pulled a gearbox off a spare sidevalve so I could get to the lower pressure plate shroud. This I needed for the sidevalve that is going into F15. Was very surprised to find the gearbox and shroud bolts come out very cleanly and easily after their initial break. This was from a truck that had no cab and had been sitting under cypress pines for many years. Was also doing some cleaning of a wheel off the F15 and came across this ID. Didn't know they had them.

Cool rob. I wonder if the original stamps still exist.

Ryan your picture made me curious and I had a quick look at my Blitz, without cleaning I think I have two General Motors and three Kelsey rims. The 600 over 16 looks like it is stamped on at least one of the Kelsey rims.

I beleive initially the rims were made by GM but at one point were farmed out to Kelsey.
This topic was dealt with in the earlier years of MLU with postings of pictures of the large punch press.....something like 1200 tons...... blank pre cut discs were punch in one go...... the monstrous flywheel of the press was half under the floor. I tried doing a few searches but must not have used the proper key words. Wonder who else remembers these postings...? Bob C.
