Default Head issues

The C60L project continues with an engine tear down of a canadian 1946 Chev 216ci. This alternative is being evaluated due to my original 1943 GM Chev 216 found to have a sump full of water. Both are seized and I'm debating which way to go. One of the lifter rods (as pictured below) was bent so I am concerned which way to go. As normal. all input gratefully accepted. =)
