Where the valve mounts the the hull, on my example I noted a bracket which I took to be for a spring ? Does anyone have information on how that spring was fitted ?

Jacques : 1/8 NPT fittings work fantastic ! Thanks . Richard : Are you talking about the spring that helps the selector valve open and close with the very long actuating arm ?

Does it compensate for the weight of parts of the linkage?

Ron my friend , my sources say there was a revision and that the spring was added later . That would explain it . My Carrier has said bracket for the spring . It connects to the actuation arm . Cheers . Robert
