Default 1941 Dodge D19 Deluxe sedan

This 1941 Dodge Series D19 Deluxe sedan is marked up with census number CM4292138. It is on display at Valiant Air Command Inc. Warbird Museum, Titusville, Florida. I don't think there is a way of telling whether this is an original Canadian Army car or a civilian one painted up as such.

Default Dodge

Pics of a 1941 Dodge in RAAF service, this car is actually a Plymouth fitted with a fake Dodge grill, badges and trim, this was a cheap option that typically Chrysler preferred to use for the smaller markets. This car would be RHD and fitted with a TJ Richards body. Compared to other wartime staff car variants , very few of these were made and I think only two have survived , the RAAF seemed to be the main user although a few may have been sold to civilian hire car operators .

Hanno,

That car appears to be the Plymouth based version of a Dodge but it does have Dodge like features !

Mike, the above, and "Plymouths fitted with fake Dodge grill, badges and trim" - I need to get my head around Chrysler's uncurbed badge engineering.

Which is why I bought that manual, should be an interesting read!
