I updated Dutch CMPs using some pictures Gerrit de Waal posted on http://www.fordgp.nl/Bevrijdingsdag.

Apart from various CMPs - including that HUP fire truck! - some pictures of British vehicles, notably the venerable Bedford MW.

Enjoy!
Hanno

Found a new pic of an 8-cwt, must be one of the batch imported by Dirk Leegwater.

It must be the one from the "Witten" family. It's indeed one from Dirk's. Here it is at last years Arnhem remembrance. Really nicely restored, although I am surprised they decided to build a new "lengthened" short box.

This thread on provincial licence plates contains some great pictures of CMP and MCP trucks, plus a good helping of GMCs, Bedfords, Dodges, etc, in civilian use shortly after the war.

Default Interesting

That's an interesting pictorial thread, thanks for sharing it Hanno.

I notice there is a propensity to create as much load space as possible on the CMPs with the roof over the cab as well.

I wonder how much time this C60X would spend in top gear with a full load... no, wait; I forgot it was in Holland!

Obviously this C60x has been built for speed, note the aerodynamic windscreen...

It's known as "double declogging" isn't it?

Here´s another picture of a well-laden F60L + trailer:

And one of a F15A in civilian use:
