Great photos Keith.
Its interesting to look at the different tyres and the way the chevron patterns are put on.
My Dad had to drive Ford Blitz's from 3 BOD Seymour Vic to Terowie in South Aust.in 1942 for use on the North/South Road. He said the heat during his later stint with the 2/7 Independant Commando Squadron in New Guinea was better than the heat coming from the Ford V8 in outback Oz.

The Top, first # 12 Cab Chevy appears to have been yet another Mid-East delivery that was then sold to the Australian Government.

Yes, you're probably right. The ARN would tell us if we had the right book to look it up. Must check it next time I'm at the Australian War Memorial.
