Do you think they were factory applied or at some depot before issue?

My take on it would be post war while the vast number of vehicles were in storage and lovingly cared for until needed again or someone figured out what to do with all the surplus.
The Norwegian carrier with all the stencils marked on it that Bruce posted a photo of may have been stenciled as to point out to the new owners what everything was for. Was there not a drive on selling equipment close to or at the end of the war to countries such as China, Norway, Belgium etc.? Or was that just Foreign aid? Cheers |

My Mk11* is fully stenciled up as well.
Most surviving British sourced Mk11* Carriers came out of crates post-war suggesting a factory application. Perhaps it was just for carriers produced on British contracts. |
