Here ya go, Boobie. There are a few things I have yet to do to it (water cans, trailer and some other stuff), but it's set up "right" - 2" suspension lift, revised shocks, 32-11.50x15" tyres on custom rims and that wonderful Warn X8000i winch on the front, mounted on a custom frame which also supports the jerry can holders on each side. Gas mileage sucks, but I don't care! We just drove it to and from Windsor, and it travels wonderfully.

BTW, it started out life as a stock 2003 TJ Sahara... bit of an improvement, heh?

Dunno what I'm going to call it (that "COMMANDO" has to go!) but if you're not careful I might name it after you...

Jif

PS: Thanks for the link, Paul! That's what I'm looking for, for pulling people out of the ditch as well as a trailer.

I have never had great success with the new style scepter horsecocks. They split and leak, and it seems like 50% of the cans get the pour spouts stuck on them. The inside of the plastic jerry can has the same threads in it as the old metal cans. The new plastic cans will accept the original steel horsecocks, either the expanding rubber plug type or the old threaded type.

Well, I've ordered one (plus a water can) and we'll see what happens... at least their 19mm horsecock will fit inside the civvie spring-loaded fuel entry port , unlike the old mil ones. I'll let you know if they're any good at all!

Geoff,

I have used these,(the black ribbed ones) and they are of a very high quality. Not sure what Rob ran into, but I have had no problem with them what so ever. Perhaps its the cold cold Shilo winters that do them in...

I like it when you talk dirty, but this language would make a trooper blush...
