I understand what you said Keith but as this was your birthday thread I was guessing you had snatched the perfict Blitz from under the noses of the unsuspecting locals
Euan can I congratulate you on your purchase or will Katrina give me a backhander for encourageing this rash purchase

Imagine that! A Birthday Cake with an exploding cigar in it!

As a result of the Victorians deftly employing Soviet "Maskirovka" techniques (Trans: trickery, deception ), the NSW Border Raiding Patrol was duped into defending the "Last Remaining Unrestored FGT in NSW" from interested parties round the clock for a whole cold, wet Long Weekend, while all along the real objective was in fact some Farmer's Grain Silo, which was then discovered to have a Carrier next to it! (A Carrier, BTW, which we had already BR'd from SA!)

"F" Troop, NSWBRP have thrown the book (actually a Training Pamphlet on "Misinformation and Counter-Intelligence") at Int Sec, who have gone away to assiduously study said book.

Mutter, mutter: Congrats on a nice find, Euan!

Default Raid

One of the most amazing things about it is it's proximity to Corowa too, and the fact it was known to a few for a long while. There were two there and the other was also recently Br'd on the quiet.

I haven't been keeping up to date with whats been happening here, to busy being focused on my shed lately. Happy Birthday Keith, another year closer to retirement.

Euan
The carrier looks pretty good, I noticed the loader has a fair strain on one of the tyres, did you take any photos of the inside of the carrier

Default Safe on Vic soil.

After a long day of driving, rain and junk yards the carrier is now unloaded safe on Vic soil. Our first attempt to unload was unsuccessful with little traction on wet paddock so a return trip the next day was in order. I fired up the trusty rusty yard crane (ex ambo) blitz and lifted the carrier up till the trailer rolled out. The other find of the day in a junk yard about 180km from the carrier pick up was a nice carrier fuel tank. So now the job of collecting missing bits starts. Stay tuned for progress. Thanks again to the BR team for all their help, I wont name them for obvious reasons.

Default carrier bits

Hey salesman, after you cut up that intact carrier to build project Phoenix you must have a load of parts left over. I am looking for the engine cover, storage bins, complete instrument panel, pattern for seat back, tail lights, just to name a few.

Default Cut Up Carrier

Hi Euan - if you followed my thread Operation Jigsaw you would have seen that the Carrier was already cut up. As far as all the spares, they went to Colin. The only thing I can help you with is the instrument panel and as you know I have done heaps of these now.
