...these photos are all of interest especially to me...now I know / am reminded that they exist. I assumed that the wrecker was a 1940 WB, but it could just be a 'CC60L' albeit 1940 Model rather than the later 1941 Models to S/M 2006! You may therefore be right, since there were indeed a quantity of 1940 Model 1543 trucks acquired for civilian service we know...S/M 2005 consisted of 4,787 trucks of which 3,150 were sent to Egypt, of which again there were 50 Wreckers! I am conjecting therefore that the photo is one of these issued to the AIF in Egypt and thus the very first CC60L!
