Good morning Kevin:

I checked out that angle iron next to the battery box, to me it looks like someone has added it. It is welded at both ends and appears to be a scrap piece and not factory as they are not clean cuts.

Well I have a couple of new treasures. One is brend new and one is 65 years old. I have my first grandchild, a little baby girl born August 30th. She is a sweetheart and grampa is going to spoil her rotten.
The next I just bought tonight. It is a Canadian model 1946 Dodge troop carrier. The fella I got it from has welded a old fargo pickup cab on it. He used it as a snowplow since 1961. He bought it from a fella who bought it new after the war. It has not run in couple years but started right up and runs like a charm. Very complete truck wilth all data plates in place, all lights there. Seats are still in back but rotted, extra tire as well he said maybe even 2 tires. Hardware all the for wood frames on box as well. I am very happy to have got this one. Original engine and winch as well. I took some pictures, when I get them loaded on computer I will post the pictures.
Tommorrow going to look at a old pedal car for my granddaughter and will have it restored for her, have to get her interested in grampas stuff (junk) as my better calls it still.

Cheers

Eric

I finally brought home my newest truck, picked it up last sunday. When i purchased it I was told it was a 1946, but when I got it home I looked at the data plates and it turned out to be a 1945. All datat plates are on it. Runs like a charm as does the winch. I'm very happy with it, glad I bought it. Looks out of place though being as it is a dodge in the midst of all my fords. I will post some pictures hopefully next weekend when my sons are in town and can show this old guy how to post pictures again.

Cheers
Eric
