They are just a standard housing. If extra holes had to be drilled and tapped, then your housing would be a later model one
As I have mentioned before, many internal parts are the same as the WC series WWII Dodge box (but not the input, and output shafts)

Default carrier tranny

Thanks Guys.I am dealing on a 1940 4 speed from a truck. Hope it all lines up. will post results.

Henry Ford made it easy , All Bren Carriers had Ford flathead V8 engines, Trannys, Axels, wheel hubs, steering boxes, etc. it's like a Steel ratrod. Aidan
