Gary I Managed to buy an 11 set about 12 years ago from Australia. I have only ever seen two British 11 sets. One is in the Signals museum at Blandford Camp. The other one was sold at War & Piece just after I bought mine and fetched £1000 at that time. Please keep me informed if you find one, so that we can swap notes. Ron.

Does anybody knows if the C8A HUW was equiped with a Wavemeter as a standard item or not?

Your second attached thumbnail is of an RT-246/VRC Receiver-Transmitter. This is, as indicated on the nameplate, part of the AN/VRC-12 family of field tactical radios. The RT-246 is the same size as the RT-524 and fits into the MT-1029 Tray, Mounting. The RT-246 has an automatic turning system which is controlled by front panel push buttons, where the RT-524 does not. The RT-524 has a loudspeaker, the RT-246 does not. The RT-246 was typically used in the AN/VRC-43, -44, -45 Radio Set configurations. AFAIK, Canada did not use the RT-246. Reference: ARMY TM 11-5820-401-12, Aug 1972.

Somewhere to discuss Wireless/Signals equipment on this site would be a great addition!
Just to clarify the discussion so far, is the intent a fully independent Forum, or simply an addition to this site, such as we now have for Sappers, Gunners? Stikes me that the latter approach would be a heck of a lot simpler for the powers that be to accomplish for us, and it definitely gets my vote! David
