I think Hanno's picture is one of the Matador conversions using a Hyster crane to produce a recovery vehicle - which all had a Canadian 15cwt body added behind the cab.
Thinking about it - some Federal/Trailmobile combinations in the Middle East had a 15cwt body fitted at the front of the trailer [as a storage box] - so where did all the spaare 15cwt bodies come from; were they left over from some conversion of the 15cwt or were they taken from stock leaving a number of chasis/cab units which were then used for what?/ - sort of a chicken and egg question. Gents:
Just a couple I have found "trolling" aviation websites. Don't think they've been seen before on this site. ![]() ![]() Al Davis

I'm only guessing but I would say only one , the Hyster mobile crane with its wheeled base would be a valuable asset itself ,so its all a bitza.
