Default Cab periscope

Yes, it is original. These were fitted to Chev 1 1/2 ton 4x4's fitted with a Borer on the back. One of our club members has one of these Boring Chevs (Bit of an Oxymoron, that ) and the original manuals with it. The periscope enabled the driver to accurately reverse the truck to the spot where the hole was required to be drilled, in conjunction with the side mirrors.
Roley's truck is seen here below before the fitment of the Borer, which he has obtained from a second truck. You will note that even with the periscope, it can be hard to park between the lines in a car park. The building in the background is the Lithgow Small Arms Factory "Bren Section" building, a piece of WW2 history demolished last summer
Where is this truck, Keith/Euan? Roley is still after more Yankee Joe parts.
