I am writing this from a tent in KAF, where I obviously have too much time on my hands after hours.
I wish it were possible to "Customize" search info on EDR. As it stands now, getting Serial Numbers is a one by one ie, a very painful and labourious task. Clives list is a godsend in that department.

Wifi in the Tent??.... Man KAF has gotten really soft since my last trip

It's almost as if the DND only put that data there for their own internal use, with no consideration for the collectors.

The company I am with has run wifi into our tents, but I find it too slow. I go with the hodgy net (DSL), which I must pay for, but works a lot faster. I use the wifi when the hodgy net goes down (which is often). With the hodgy net I also get the cable TV. I have almost 30 channels more here than I have at home.

Unfortunately all the cables for both the internet and the cable TV are run on the ground. This makes them very susceptible to both damage and to theft of signal. The last 3 times my cable went it was someone upstream of the chain tapping into it and not knowing what they were doing.

If you remember, last year the US general was closing much of the boardwalk restaurants. Well since then they have returned in spades. Now there is KFC, TGIFs, Nathans hot dogs, Some US burger chain (forget the name), and an equivalent of Dairy Queen. Add to that a host of pizzerias, kebob shops, and other middle east type food vendors, and things are indeed a bit soft.

The only thing not soft in the tents are the mattresses.

Scott, a quick question in need of explanation..
My M38A1CDN3 is 70-08669
Previously here, we concluded, using details in the data base, that my jeep was at CFB London initially until around 1979 when it was re-posted to CFB Borden from then until surplus in 1986. The list above has it at CFB Toronto. What gives?

Good question. I'd have to look again.

Just a guess, but it was probably disposed/auctioned out of Toronto rather than Borden. The locations listed above were most likely the last location the vehicle was at before it left the books, and not neccessarily where it spent its career.

No, but I think I just figured out whats for supper.

Boardwalk is just a 3 minute walk from here, so no delivery is required. Besides, I am too cheap to tip the delivery guy. I actually bring coke from my fridge over to the boardwalk so I am not paying the $1 they charge for a warm soda. There was sale at the PX where coke was less than 10¢ a can.

The pizza hut was one of the vendors who fell victim to the General's closures. Two other pizza joints opened up to replace it, but neither deliver as far as I know. Trying to close junk food restaurants here is like trying to kill the hydra.
