Dear Bill it looked like this - but with a box body rather than flatbed

Hi Larry:

I would appreciate it if you could post the photo directly here.

My Browser sends up a monumental "Malware" warning when I try to download the photo from your posting.

Cheers

Bill

A tardy thanks to all of you that helped out here.
The model owner is now a very happy camper and can carry on with his build of an RAF version.

Cheers
Bill

Default More RAF vehicles

Here is another colour photo of an RAF Bedford QL bowser I saw on the web.

Interestingly the roundal on the side of the Bedford has what appears to be its red circle in the roundal changed to a red star. At first I thought this was to do with it belonging to an Yugoslavian unit - but just like some tanks I have seen with a hammer and sickle i think it is the ground crew showing off their left wing political beliefs as many did in 1945.

The Spitfire is a late mark with late versions of the wing roundals. In early 1945 they had a white ring added to the red/ blue wing roundal but immediate post war some Sqns changed the white to yellow.

Default Red Star

Any chance this could be the red star.
