The orgial compete engine is in the truck.so I'm hoping to just transfer all the bits over. 85 HP is the rating. What's the oiginal HP?

According to most sources CMP 216 Cu.In. were rated at 85 HP at 3400 RPM with a 170 Ft.Lbs. of Torque at 1200 RPM.
Though as you get into the late 40s and early 50s the same basic engine is rated near 100 HP. I will be interested to hear if the engine you found is dimensionally the same on the outside to mounting points. Cheers Phil
