The correct name for them I now believe is LEROY Macks

The LEROY part of the name is related to the enormous petrol engine that was installed.

The truck was at least as large as a Diamond T

These two trucks were so surface rusty that you could not read the army numbers on them.

Whilst they could have been imported Say from the IA I do not think so, at the time I spotted them they still were drivable. Shame no one else saw them they were clearly seen at the wollongong end of Appin township.

Yes M123 if not the same were very similair,

Whilst with the Air Force we never had the army (I am presuming they belonged to the army) had one presented for loading trails on the C130.

Would have been a tight fit.

So no one knows their story
