Personally i think you should scrap the carrier and give it to your brother.................. who has'nt got one!!!!!!

Default Dead spot on Starter

Hello Stephen, we had the same problem, and we had the bendix replaced and it solved the case,

Stephen have you checked out the armature winding to see if the is a dead zone in it . use a shunt tester to do the job

Hi Stephen,
I know a good electrician near Maidstone who overhauls my starters and dynamos, etc. He does a lot of work on old vehicles. If you want his name send me a PM.
